To program '93 - '95 RKE, remove dash bezel to the right of steering wheel to reveal traction control connector. You will need the green wire in ths connector. All LH cars have this connector if you have traction control or not. There is a spot on the trim piece for the connector to mount in cars with out traction control. This pik is from a car with out traction control

On '96 and '97 models, Chrysler put the green wire in the #1 position of the DLC (Data Link Connector). The DLC is under the dash on the drivers side. It is mounted solid and this is the point where the scan tool would plug in. The position of the wire you need depends on how your DLC connector is mounted.

If the 2 screws that hold the connector in place have the heads pointing up, the wire in the #1 spot is on the bottom left position.

If the 2 screws holding the connector in place are pointing down, the wire in the #1 spot is in the top left position.

Ground the green wire in the traction control connector (#1 wire on '96 '97 models), turn ignition key on (do not start engine), door locks should cycle, press any button on remote, door locks will cycle again. If you have another remote, press a button on it, door locks will cycle again. All remotes (up to 4) must be programmed at the same time. Turn off key and unhook green wire from ground. On '93-'95 cars replace bezel.

RKE is now ready to be used. The remotes only have a range of 30 feet or so. If the remote does not seem to operate properly, try new batteries in it. RKE has to be reprogramed when batteries are replaced in remote(s).

When the lock button on the remote is pressed, the horn should chirp indicating the doors are locked. If you do not like the horn chirp, it can be turned off.

To turn off horn chirp, reconect the green wire to ground and turn on key. Press any button on the remote and door locks will cycle. If you have another remote, press any button on it also and door lock wil cycle again. Anytime the green wire is grounded and the key is on, all remotes have to be programed again. After remotes are programed, pick any remote, press lock then unlock, press lock then unlock, press lock then unlock one last time for a total of 3 times. All the door locks and the trunck should cycle 3 times indicateing the lockout of the horn chirp.

Good luck. Feel free to contact me with questions or comments - [email protected]

Re: How Do You Program Keyless Entry????

These are the instructions I used:

Remove the middle vent bezel from the instrument panel.
Locate the 2x3 traction control black connector. The connector will either be connected to the switch or the back of the bezel housing. Disconnect the connector.
Turn ignition switch to the ON position.
Ground pin 4 of the traction control connector. This is the programming line for the Remote Keyless Entry Module. The door locks will lock and unlock, to indicate the receiver is ready to receive transmitter code. The trunk solenoid will not cycle at this time.
Press any button on the transmitter to set code. The locks will cycle to confirm programming. If there is a second transmitter it must be set at this time. Press any button on the second transmitter and wait for the locks to cycle.
Disconnect the program line from ground. This returns the system to its normal operation mode.
Attach the traction control switch connector back to its original position:
Traction control switch
Back of the bezel housing.
Replace middle vent bezel, to the instrument panel. If the vehicle has a traction control switch check for functionality once the bezel is in place.
