02 LT TB Left Turn Signal acts as warning flasher

Has anyone heard of an 02 LT TB flashing both the left and right turn signals when the left signal is on? I had this problem, went to the dealer to have the recalls on the lamps and circuit boards done, and the problem comes back. It is really angering me because it happens randomly. At one light, it will work fine, and at another it wont. Any ideas? Thanks

I just brought my 2004 TB LT in to the dealer for the same thing last week....It was a bad "multi-function switch"....It is the gizmo that is in the directional arm along with the cruise, wiper interval,hi-lo beams, etc....It was a very simple warranty repair for me, as I left my truck with them for the day and picked it up after work ...I don't know how much it would cost to fix in the event that it was out of warranty, but the service dept. billed GM 1 hour on my yellow customer copy...If it doesn't malfunction when showing the service tech, you can probably replicate the problem by rapidly alternating the arm from a left-turn signal to a right-turn signal....That's how I exposed this intermittent problem to my service tech...Good Luck...
