manual transmission for a cressida

Hello every one i have a 89 toyota cressida and im trying to put a manual gear box in it
does any one no what type of gear box would fit in it ive heard that a a70 supra 5 speed might bolt straight on is this true.

yeah I heard the MKIII trannys bolt right upcause I believe they have the same engine. I have a auto 91 cressida and a 5 speed 88 Supra, love them both. I hear some people drift 'em don't know for sure though. Anyways have fun.

Yes, I too have a 91 Cressida. I picked it up from my Grandma and it runs awsome. I also would love to put in a manual Transmition.

You seem like you knw alot bout that type of stuff, will deffinetly be asking some questions later on.
