S2000 digital cluster swap...

i was wondering if anyone has been successful with this. im more or less capable of the slight fabrications i may need to make on the dash (if at all) but i just wanted the input prior to the project. my friend's car was smashed so we parted it out and he gave it to me. basically i would want to remove the tach and speedo and replace it with the new one but i would also like to make use of all the indicators on the s2k's cluster (gas, engine light, door, brake, etc) as well as have the regular indicators on the dash (lude) work too so technically i would have almost two instrument panels. the only reason i would want that is to avoid that long empty dash look but i would sacrifice it to have the s2k's cluster work the way i want since it can display everything in the same amount of space it takes to use the speed/tach on the lude.

i think that splitting the wires for everything except the speedometer and tachometer (since they will be gone) will make my project ideal but i guess the worst case scenario is to route all the wires to the sk2's cluster and not have the ludes dash-indicators work.

basically, i want to replace this:

with this:

and try to keep this working too:

Seems like a hell of a project. Keep us posted, I'd like to see this up and running. I'll try and do a bit of research for you as well.
