trunk closes by itself

Ok, I was taking stuff out of my trunk when the trunk lid suddenly lowered and slammed with full power on my skull, so I guess the lid supports (or whatever it s called) are dead and need to be fixed or replaced because I don t like wearing helmets.

Is there any places where I may buy a couple for less than 35$ a piece ? Even used, as long as it works.

assuming you have a 99-01 LHS, autozone, or any major auto parts store will carry these...
