torque converter

ive heard on some other forums that you can rewire something so you can manually lock and unlock your torque converter. Is this true? if so how could someone benefit from this. And, if not, i heard a lot of bs.

Re: torque converter

The only reason that I've known why you might disconnect the torque converter is if it doesn't kick out causing your vehicle not to shift properly.
