Idle Air Control System Malfunction-2
i have a 95 plymouth neon. i recently tried to install a cold air intake on it. however, once installed the idle of the car sky rocketed. i have already encountered this problem before and fixed it...before the idle air controll valve went bad...now i dunno what it is. any advice or thoughts? any information would be much appreciated. thank you > NO I NEVER MESSED WITH THE IDLE SCREW...ITS NOT THE SCREW ITS THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE......I NEED TO KNOW HOW FAR TO EXTEND THE PINTLE HEAD ON THE VALVE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION....IVE FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH THE PART, BUT I CANT SEEM TO KEEP IT AT STEADY IDLE. IVE REPLACED THE ECM AND IT STILL DOESNT WORK. FAULT IN THE WIRING? IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA ON THIS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT [email protected]. THANK YOU

Re: Idle Air Control System Malfunction-2
Hey man got the same problem and fixed it. Make sure all PCV hoses are in place and clamped tight. Also all vaccum hoses. The hose with the z in it on the throttle body is a example. My problem was the hose on the evaperation canister thing right by your passanger wheel well had a crack in the hose were it connects to the canister. Put a clamp on that and try that one out. Fixed mine so far. And I dont think there is a screw on the throttle body for the idle atleast mine dont have one. Good luck with that let me know if it works.
