Re: New Problem!! =/

You might have an exhaust leak...you mentioned the new downpipe...usually when you replace the downpipe you want to use new gaskets and also retighten the bolts after 50 miles to prevent exhaust leaks.
When I put on my header on my Accord, about 100 miles down the road, I got 2 exhaust leaks. Both ends started leaking because I didn't retighten the bolts, and because the gaskets sucked. (use copper, they are the best and only like $8).

Re: New Problem!! =/

Also, when you replace the weakest part of the exhaust with a new piece, that is suddenly the strongest part, and some other part becomes the weakest. And the pressure will break through the next weakest point...so if there's another part of the exhaust that is bad then it's next in line to break open. Which, if you're car is still loud, probably happened.

Re: New Problem!! =/

If you put a new downpipe on, and you reused the same stock gaskets from the old downpipe, you probably have exhaust leaks...

Re: New Problem!! =/

Yeah you definitely need to use new gaskets with new exhaust parts...get under there and see where the noise is coming from! If there's no leaks anywhere then your new downpipe is larger or has thinner walls than your original and is loud.
