Question How to replace Driving light and other bulb help

Hi guys

I feel like a noob when it's come to GMC been driving import for the longest time. I trying to change out the bulb on my driving light and low and high beam on my 02 Denali. How the hell do you get to them? I just look @ it and it's seem like you have to take alot of plastic apart just to get to them. my buddy @ work told me you have to take out the headlight just to get to them? He also said there is no bolt or scew to remove and it's just clip on on. is this true? Can anybody walk me thrugh this or got a picture showing what to remove? Any help would help.

thanks for looking

Hi,

Did you ever find out how to replace headlight lamps?
I have a '99 Yukon that I'd like to replace lamps.
I guess I'm a noob too!
Been wrenching cars since the 60's but can't figure this out.

Re: How to replace Driving light and other bulb help

Hi,
there are 2 black pins inserted from the top of the headlights. They are like allen wrenches.
You will see the about 1 inch long top parts of the pins tucked in under a plastic bar.
Swivel the top forward so you can pull the pins up and out.
The headlight will fall out forward.
Now you can swivel the driving light out forwards after pushing on a plastic tab on the outside end of it.

Let me know, if this was not clear enough.
It is illustrated in the owner's guide.
Take care, Eggert

Re: How to replace Driving light and other bulb help

Yes, sure does, that is what I have.
The old and the new body styles all have the headlight pins.
The old body styles have 4 screws for the lower, blinker lights around the edges of the glass.
Hope this helps, Eggert

See if this helps.......

The Factory bulbs are Sylvania 4157K

Wagner 3157 works as a great replacement if you can't find them
