Unhappy Security Alarm Programming

I have a 1999 Chev Suburban with a VSC3300 GM Accessory Security System. The owners guide discusses that it can be programmed, but does not tell you how. Does anybody have instructions on how to program it??? Thanks

Re: Security Alarm Programming

My guess thats one of those from Directed Electronics (DEI). They are the ones that make Viper, Python, Clifford and others. Most of the time you need to cycle the key on then off with the door open then press the black valet button a # of times according to what you want to change. You could try this manual but I am unsure if these cross reference or not. http://directechs.com/guides/manuals...417A_12-03.pdf

Well its not exactly the same as the '99 version but the manual has a lot of the same words. I am gonna try the programming that is in the manual and see what happens!

I wonder, can you program the darn thing OFF for ever??

Thanks for your input!

Yep! Open the door, turn the ignition on then off then press the valet button.
