87 Factory Turbo?

Hey,Did every 87 GN come out of the factory with a turbo? Or was that just a good year to turbo the car?

all 87 GN's were turbocharged. (as well as 84-86 GN's) not every Regal was turbo but you could order Limiteds and Turbo T's with the turbo motor (LC2)

best way to tell if it a turbo car is the little bump in the middle of the hood.

Any car that got the LC2 turbo engine got the cool looking hood as well

Re: 87 Factory Turbo?

here's a little more info from a post at turbobuicks.com forum. the discussion was about T-Types and Turbo T's. The GN production was over 22000 cars i believe for 1987

"1987 You could get a T 8547 total.
Now with a T you could get a limited (more of a sleeper look) 1035 total.
What's known as a turbo T is an 87 T all black and blackout package
with the WE4 option - they made 1547 of these and generally these
are more desired then the regular T. That leaves 4268 base turbos."
