Put in stock tailights.

Companies use cheap material, and do not seal them up well eough to keep mosture out. Which causes discoleration.

Try cleaning it with alcohol, let the alcohol sit for a second.

If the plastic is what is discoloring, as opposed to something on it, yeah...too bad...you could try a bleach/water mixture, but that is likely to cause more damage to the plastic than good.

Clear lamps, head and tail, are pretty easy to make out of the stock lamp assemblies...you need an oven, some heavy duty silicon, a free weekend, and appropriately colored bulbs (standard or LED).

There's a butload of links on here to show you how. I've done it on my head lamps to make clear corners, not bad at all, took a few hours...I painted the metal reflector as well...hence the hours.

I would.

My car was flooded during hurrican Isabelle, I got a great deal on it!, I was getting all kinds of discoloration on the inside of the outer shield and had to open it up and clean it out because of algae discoloration.

used pure alcohol - isopropyl - let it sit for a bit to kill the stuff, then scrubbed it out, looks fine now, no discoloration, plus I was able to redo the silicon seel making sure water didnt get back in there.

Sure. You could pour some in there and let it sit, or spray on and rub off.

However, if the plastic is just cheap and is discoloring, all the alcohol in the world won't help. You could try to buff it out with incredibly fine wet paper, but that may, again, do more damage than good.
