Re: RSX air conditioner problem

that's good to hear.

i am trying to decide between the clear power advantage of the srt-4 and the practicality of the rsx-s. people say that inexpensive engine mods are available to make the rsx-s closer to the torque abilities of the srt-4, but i have read varying opinions about that.

hard choice. : (

Re: RSX air conditioner problem

SRT-4 = cheap, easy, and warrantied (as long as you stay stage 1 or 2 Mopar mods) power.

RSX = Very reliable, better looking, higher quality, huge aftermarket.

The SRT has a built engine, LSD and all, but i'd still take the RSX, speed isn't everything for me.

Yeah, there's really not that much in common between the two cars....

To quote Mendari, "they've got 4 wheels and doors but that's about it"

LOL,
With Toyota killing the production of the Celica, Ford killing the SVT Focus, the sporty 4-Cylinder market has shrunken dramatically.
What's your budget?

Re: RSX air conditioner problem

well, monthly payments should be okay up to about $350, but i can't come up with a large enough lump sum all at once to buy a used car i like from an individual, so i have to buy something financed from a dealership. and my wife has convinced me to buy something less than five years old this time, so the rsx-type s is looking good.

I like the 4 cylinder Mazda 6 for around that price. Nice interior, lots of airbags and a 4yr/50k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Probably good insurance because it has four doors and low theft-rate.
