Well,
That's one way to make a dull car look head turning, if only for the spray job. Brave to attempt such a paint job on what is really a "WTF" touring car.. I remember watching these years back, until it got banned for being an estate in the BTCC, and it did really well..!! Shocking really, and goes to show what good engineering can do. Why didnt you get the road version, instead of using the BTCC version? |

Re: **volvo 850 Estate**
Did it get banned? I thought Volvo just switched to the saloon as it turned out to be more competitive. I remember watching Lammers and Rydell suffering horribly in the estates in 94. Volvo at the time claimed the estate offered superior downforce, strange how they suddenly became more succesful when they switched to a saloon.
Anyway, nice clean looking build, not my style personally but well executed.. |

Re: **volvo 850 Estate**
If I remember right it was some rules regarding the rear wings that made them go for the estate. When they started It was no real disadvantage to use an estate so they did it to get some publicity, but later the rules allowed more effective rear wings wich you could not benefit from using the estate, so they switched to the saloon.

Ah - I was told, and also thought it was banned for being an estate. But now you mention it, I do recall something about wings and public stunts etc.. I think I am wrong on that statement so will take that back. sorry guys..!!
Anyhow, the saloon was the one that did well, the estate didn't. |

Re: **volvo 850 Estate**
I think it looks fantastic! Wheels are great - are they standard for the kit?
