Bleeding a master cylinder

can anyone tell me the correct way to bleed a master cylinder? does it even need to be bleeded? thanx

Since the reservoir is not attached you need to do it in the car. You can bleed it first if necessary, but it's not always needed. Just have someone pump the pedal then hold. Loosen the front line to release fluid, retighten & continue until you get fluid. Do the same for the rear brake line.
