My new meaning to VFAQ

Well I have been thinking about this for a while now... I am just throwing it out there to see who I could target and who would actually be interested in it.

VFAQ - Video Frequently Asked Questions.

As long as I have his concent I am planning on doing a video when I do 96Spyderman's GST. Basically what I will include is:

Full detailed video on how to rebuild a 6 bolt block and put the motor together.

Full detailed video on how to do a 6 bolt swap in a 2g.

Dont know if I could get away with selling them as DVD's or video disks but I probably wouldnt do that, maybe a small donation to cover the disk cost or something, either that or I'll just put it on the internet.

Just wondering what everyone thinks... Discuss~

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

Not a bad idea at all. I think that would be totally beneficial to a lot of people. It would be cool. Is there a way to incorporate more of an FAQ into it? maybe make a menu with a lot of already answered questions and have them on there. Basically use up the space on the DVD is possible??

Just a thought

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

Man, I'd be all for a video (cd or vhs, it wouldn't matter) with a complete in-depth build and swap of a 6bolt in a 2g. I'd be happy to pay for it as well (if the price is right, of course ).

Also, if you threw a 2g awd clutch install on there, I would be willing to bet it'd sell like marijauna in jamaica

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

I would for sure buy one or make a nice little donation, I'm going to be doing a 6-bolt swap in a 2g here in about 2 months so if ya could get it done by then, that'd be great!

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

Pretty damn good idea. People would then be able to read, listen, and watch a 6-bolt swap. That's using all 3 sences. This would be a trully beneficial addition to the DSM community.

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

Well I'll probably do them in sections. Rebuild and swap first, then add a clutch change on FWD, I probably wont actually change the clutch, just pull everything out of my GST and put it all back in, then do a clutch change in a GSX. If anyone else has any ideas feel free to let me know what you want to see. EXCEPT AWD SWAP. That was just a pain in the ass and I'm not gunna video that unless someone pays me to do the swap on their car!

Post up suggestions~

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

I think a 6bolt build/swap and a clutch install would cover pretty much everything. I mean, those two things together is just like taking the entire car apart .

I'll film if you want to build a 2.3 6 bolt and put it in my car.

Re: My new meaning to VFAQ

I think part of the reason no one does this is because of the risk. And because everyone has there own ways of doing things and beliefs about what is the "right" way to do it. I can already hear the complaints... BUT, there are some poeple that have no idea what they are doing, and anything is better than nothing. I would certainly include a bulletproof disclaimer though.
