Replacing rotors

I want to replace the front rotors on my '03 Malibu, but I've been told to torque the spindle nut to specification after installing the new rotors. How important is this? What is the correct torque specification for the '03 Malibu? Please help.

You have to remove two bolts to remove the caliper and then the rotors come right off. Retorque the two caliper bolts to 25 foot pounds
