Smile 90 LeBaron dash lights

Hi, I'm new to this, so be easy on me-please. My 1990 Lebaron has the digital dash-numerical speed reading, bar graph fuel & temp gauges and the such. here's my problem: when you first turn on the car all the gauges show up as it "boots up" so-to-speak. however, after the boot process, the bar gauges go blank. the speed will still read, but you cant tell how much gas you have. any thoughts? thanks for any help.

Sounds like a bad cluster. Good luck trying to find one; like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Hi, I'm a newbie too. I was just checking out the posts before asking my question when I found yours. I have exactly the same problem with only one difference, I have a completely black dash. The only time anything lights up is when you start the car and the seatbelt light comes on for a minute or when the car starts missing and the check engine light comes on for a minute. I was also told it was the cluster and that IF you can find a replacement for it that it is not a cheap job. I work at a junk yard and have been looking for a cluster for mine for 2 months now(no luck yet). If you seriously need it fixed and soon I would suggest a parts website that I keep checking for updates and that is "www.carparts.com". It will ask you for the coverage area you are looking in(states) and it gives you a list of availability, prices and yards to contact. I hope this helps you.
