1992 Camaro code44 problem

I've got a 92 camaro with the 305 tbi v8. The car is difficult to start It cranks and idles OK but when when you put it in gear it wants to stall out .You can play with the gas pedal(while in gear)to keep it running but it surges and hesitates for several minutes after car starts moving then all of a sudden it begins running fine and continues to run fine until you stop. After car sits for 20 minutes or so it again is hard to get running.Also the check engine light will come on and off, I have noticed this seems to happen after car has warmed up (ECM goes to closed loop operation). I get a code 44 (lean exhaust) , I have replaced fuel filter, IAC valve, and about a year ago the o2 sensor. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Well, it is either the O2 sensor or you really are running lean, possible plugged injector, bad fuel pump or plugged fuel filter...start with the filter and go from there.

Sounds like your fuel pump maybe on the way out. I had a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had those exact symptoms. It took 4 trips to the dealer to nail it down because it would only happen when it felt like it.
