Dodge Ram Not Charging Not Taching No Lights,
Ok I Purchased A 94 Dodge 2500 With 59000 Miles On It. It Is A Deisel And Looks Great. I Bought This Truck At An Estate Sale Of A Man Who Died Overseas. This Truck Has Been Parked For The Past 5 Years And For 1500.00 Dollars How Could I Leave It There.
Well The Brakes Were Locked Up When I Bought It So I Changed Them And The Wheel Bearings While I Was At It. The Ram Drives Great Now But It Does Not Charge. The Meter Reads 10v Which Isnt Enough To Charge The Batteries. The Head Lights Dont Work Either. Nor Does The Tach. This Is Weird. I Took The Alternator Off And To The Parts House Thinking This Would Fix The Charging Problem Well The Darn This Is Good. I Dont Know Whats With The Tach And The Head Lights. I Figured All This Was Caused By A Bad Alternator But I Guess Not. I Dont Know What To Do If I Take It To The Dealer I Am Sure I Will Get Jammed Up. I Cant Afford This. I Have A 94 Dodge Ram 3500 Gas And Have Had No Problems With It. I Tried Comparing The 2 But They Are Completly Different. If Any One Has A Solution To My Problem I Might Cut Them A Check For 1 Millon When I Hit The Lotto. But Untill Then Please Help Me If You Can. Thanks Carlos In Houston 281 685 3353 |

Re: Dodge Ram Not Charging Not Taching No Lights,
first off check all the fuses and fusable links, next check all the main ground wires (body& engine) if that doesn't fix it follow all the wiring harneses and look for a spot that was eaten by some animal or rubbing through on something. good luck

Re: Dodge Ram Not Charging Not Taching No Lights,
I`d have to agree if it sat parked for 5 years I can almost guarantee at least mice got to it

Re: Dodge Ram Not Charging Not Taching No Lights,
the crank sensor or better known as the engine speed sensor is most likely the problem
