alternator questions

hey guys....

my alternator is making noise like its going out... kinda like a screaching/scratching

so ill be getting a new alternator.. what ampage does the stock alternator put out? because of my system i am looking to get one that delivers more amps

im running 1/0(ott) guage wire to my system its pretty big so thats prolly why my alternator is going by the way side.

also is there any places i can get a pretty good deal on an alternator??

any input would be pretty nice

What motor?
What extras do you have?
And what model?

Stock AMP's on 97/03 are 105.You can get a 160amp alternator for 210 bucks.Click Here or you could have www.4alterstart.com build you one or may have a high output in stock,they offer some up to 250 amp's.
