Paint color

Am trying to find out what color silver was used on the front frame rails and the core support on a 69 E series 2 as It needs touch up and looks a little different than the silver body color. They didnt have paint codes back then and only used the silver body color in 69-71. What i mean is the particular tone of silver. Does anyone know if all the frame rails were whatever the body color was,or were they all silver. I suppose if i have to I can go over to a friend of mines shop and sook at his Sikkens paint charts and just match the tone. the car is on a lift and cant take it anywhere to try and match, but thought maybe they had a name for the color they used . Thks Leon

Re: Paint color

to my knowledge it should be the same as the body color i restored several e types and they all had the frames in the same color as the body it probably changed color over the years because of the heat under the bonnet
