Fan won't stop (92 Jetta)
Hi all, I'm new here. Was wondering if anyone could help me out with this anamolie thats been going on with my Jetta.
Yesterday I noticed, after shutting off the car, that the front fan hadn't stopped. I thought it was merely still cooling the engine, but when I returned to the car 2 hours later it was still running! It appeared to be running faster than usual too-- and pretty loud. For fear of draining the battery over the night I had to disconnect it from the battery. Any ideas why this is going on? Much thanks in advanced, Mike |

Re: Fan won't stop (92 Jetta)
Try unplugging the thermoswitch on the radiator, it is probably stuck. Hopefully no-one has modified your wiring as that is very common.
