Weathered Plastic Headlight Lenses
I have weathering or what looks like flaking on my clear plastic headlight lenses. What can I use to get them to look new again? I saw a TV commerical at one time about something that can be wiped on them with a rag and they looked new, but it was before I needed it so I didn't pay attention to it. Can anyone help?

Re: Weathered Plastic Headlight Lenses
I use Soft Scrub w/ Bleach and a random orbital polisher. If they're really bad, you can start out with a scotchbrite pad but more work with the polisher to get it back smooth again.

what you need is a high rpm drill or buffer with a buffing wheel and you need some plastic polish compound, its made by east wood. take the lense out and wash it, dry it off, the apply some of the compound to it, just start buffing it out. just be carful not to get it too hot cause heat will build up and damage the lense. but the longer you buff it the more glassier it will look. im currently doing this to the tail lights from my camaro, and so far one of them looks like brand new, used to look dull
and foggy looking. if you decide to use this method keep us posted.
