engine code readout

i got a early 94 4g15 mirage and my check engine light is on
now i know i can read out the codes by hooking up a voltmeter to the diagnostics port , i just dont know where to find that port ,so if anyone knows...

I don't know if yours is in the same place as mine but on a 90 Mirage, it is the vertical port next to the fuse block under the dash on the drivers side. Mine has about 5 pins in the port. Most of the places where pins are, are empty.

That's the same location on the 94's.
