2001 transaxle oil level

how do you check how much oil is in the transaxle on a 2001 Grand Am? There is no dip stick.

Manual states there is no reason to check it, so I don't believe there is a way. You just have to watch out for leaks. PG 6-18 6-18 here:

what you need to do is start the car MAKE SURE ITS IN PARK and crawl under the front on the passenger side of trans next the the axle you will see a 7/16 plug pull it and the fluid should just dribble out or more depending on how hot the tranny is. replace plug tighten to 70 inch lbs (Snug). if its low add untill it runs out of the hole.
