Question does motor need to be rebuilt

does it mean when you got alot of oil going into your air box that your rings are bad and you need to rebuild motor.

Not nessasarily. First check your PCV lines, make sure that they aren't plugged. This problem usually happens when you get a build up of pressure from the engine not breathing properly. How is your oil pressure? How many miles on it? If your PCV checks out then you might have a problem with your Valve seals. To make the best decision I would get a compression / leak down test done onthe engine. This will tellyou for sure if there is a problem with piston rings, or valves. If you don't have the tools your local machine(engine) shop should be able to tellyou whats up. Just make dure they are reputable. Some will see $$'s as soon as you mention your thinking of replacing the engine. Just tell them you want the previous tests done. Good luck.

im going to clean everything and change the oil and air ceaner and clean my lifters and see if that does the trick ill let you know if it works.
