Audi A4 kits?
Hi. i´m into building a replica of my friends car. So I wonder if there´s some Audi A4 or S4 kits availible. I can only find Audi TT and some early Quattro kits. It seemed to be a lack in this brand I think. Any ideas?

Your choices are this resin kit by Quik Skins or a diecast A4 made by Welly.

I've built this kit. It's not bad, could be a little better in some places, especially the decals and instructions. But if you're building a road going version, it doesn't really matter... here's a picture of it built:
I understand that Audi charge a lot of money for a licence to create their cars in scale. Probably explains the lack of models ! I would love to build a 1/24 Audi TT DTM of their Le Mans R8's. Imagine the gems that Tamiya could churn out.

Great Audi you have there! I think the resin model are a bit pricey but maybe worth give it a chance. It´s funny that company´s like Tamiya, Revell etc doesn´t has this model in their programs. And I can´t understand why none of them makes a BMW E46 CSL version! No, release another version of the Ferrari Enzo instead!

Thanks. As I recall, Tamiya paid a shed load for the Ferrari licence. They lost it briefly. I suppose like all businesses, they are trying to squeeze out as much money as they can with the Enzo tooling, especially after the amount of money and time they dedicated into it's R&D. A few more euro based cars will be a nice change. Some Alfa Romeo's perhaps will be rather interesting... |
