riding age???

ive been wondering whats the age you are able to ride a motorcycle.
im hearing 18 and im hearing 16.. im in florida and we have alot of people that ride bikes and they dont even know whats the riding age?
does anyone know?? also what are the riding ages in where u live?

im wondering the same for wisconsin...both my friends got their licenses at 16. but i hear temps is only 18 and above. so i guess i have to take the road test? or the class, cuz with the class, you get your license.

yea but its funny how the law states that riders from 16 years until 21 must wear a helmet . riders 21 and older can go without a helmet if they have medical insurance to cover atleast 10k if in an accident.

in fl you get your drivers license at 16 as well. but im not sure on motorcycles?

Your best bet is to call and ask your local DMV. I know in CA, the riding and driving age is the same, 16 yrs.

Another thing you might want to look into is a good motorcycle training course. I know in CA, if you pass a motorcycle training course, you don't have to take the riding test at the DMV, only the written exam.
