windshield washer pump location

My windshield washer pump is no longer working. when I turn it on I here nothing. I have checked the fuse it is ok. Any Ideas
where and how can I get to my windshield washer pump?

on my 1998 windstar i had no fluid pumping out of the front and a little out the rear.
My wife was making a long road trip and needed it to work so i tackled it and easy fix.
the passengers side is where it is at there are 2 pumps at the bottom of the washer bottle.
to take the bottle completely out which would have made things alot and i mean alot easier you have to remove some bolts up top and inside the wheel well, I took all out except for one last bolt that seemed i had to remove headlight assembly to remove that last bolt.
so i left it in and removed the wheel well cover 6 to 8 bolts and you have to reach up a little awkward but there are the 2 pumps pressed and i mean just pushed into the bottom of the bottle you grab the top of the pump where the eletrical connector is at and pull it down and it pops out i did this to both of them and dissconnect the connectors. and that is when i noticed my problem nothing coming out after i took them out which the bottle was clogged had to rech into the hole and pull out the rubber grommet whih has numerous holes like a filter adn there was such nasty stuff clogging it.
while i had the pumps off i used some jumpers and dropped them in a bucket and jumped connectors to the battery and boy did they ever squirt accross the room which made me happy.

any way not a bad thing to do fairly easy just a little time consuming. and made a mess cause i had just topped off the bottle adn once i pulled the grommet off it was like a river,...

Replacing Windstar windshield washer pump

On my wife's 2000 Windstar the washer pumps are in the bottom of the washer tank and it is in the engine compartment at the right (passenger) front corner.

To get to the pumps, there are two - one front, one rear, I had to:
Jack up the van, supporting it on jackstands (not on blocks or the van jack) and remove the right front wheel.

Then remove the wheel well liner, 6 screws, one nut on the splash trim, and 4 of those plastic rivets? bolts? - whatever they're called.

The washer tank is held in with 3, (6 mm, I think) bolts; one was behind the radiator overflow tank, the second was on the outboard fender panel to the left of the radiator overflow tank, the third one was underneath the sheet metal and inboard of the tank.

There are 3 electrical connections: rear pump, front pump & level sensor, and 2 fluid lines: rear hatch & front windshield.

When the tank comes out (if its full it'll be heavy!) the pumps and the level sensor which are attached to the tank, just pull out.

I can't recall which is the front & which was the rear but they are identical. I tested the lines with compressed air and the lines were open.

The pumps fit into rubber boots that act as grommets where the pumps enter the tank and there are screens on the inside ends of the grommets.

Both were coated with some green waxy substance. I think it was from the "Rain-X" i put in the tank a ways back (won't do that again!)

I rinsed them off with warm water and re-assembled everything.

Voila! Houston, we have squirt.

One last note - i had purchased a replacement pump from AutoZone ($22.44) but I couldn't use it. It had the wrong electrical connectors.

Another pump (AutoZone part # 173686) had the right connectors, was $10.00 more.

Maybe 2 hours start to finish.

I put in another pump - a pump with the right electrical connecter.

Didn't improve the squirt at all!

Tracing the tubing I found that there was a fracture in the tubing in the last section before the right-angle fitting for the (driver's side) nozzle.

Cut out the break & replace with tygon - all fixed.
