Removing side panel

I was wondering how to remove the side trim on the sunfires. also if you remove it, do you need to repaint? I want to remove the trim, the car looks really slick with it off.

Mine is held in with screws (filled in), and the only erason I know that is because it's coming off... May be different on newer models. I see a lot of stuff just held on by two-sided tape.

mine is a 1998 4 door, if anyone has one and its falling off or they have removed it please let me know
