My 97 Sentra has power steering and air condition and automatic.
I need to know which bolts need to be loosened (where they are located) to install be alt/ac belt and power steer belt. This be most painful belt to replaced of the cars I've owned. Pictures would be great. Please help guys. |

well i have done it like 3 times now b/c i have bad luck. but for the alt/ac belt u need and 8mm socket and just above and behind the compressor u will find the bolt off a long threaded shaft. as for the ps/wp belt it is kinda tricky, u have to losen the ps pump from behind it and then with a 12mm there is a bolt sitting on the edge of a bracket facing the firewall and down by about 15-20 degrees just losen it up and u that should do it. not sure if that will be the same for u but i know for the GA16DE thats where they are, atleast in the 99 gxe le. hope that helps u.

reply to help
I remove the water pump pulley to remove the belt. Those p/s are very difficult to remove. Do you know how many alternator bolts (location) do i have to remove to release belt tension? Thanks.
