One of a kind model cars

I built these from scratch taking about 2-3 years each to build. Check out my websites to see pictures and read about them. Both are concept cars, one being a Pontiac Trans Am Firehawk on a C5 corvette chassis, and the other being a Pontiac Grand Prix with AWD.

The Firehawk looks amazing! About what scale is that?
Do you have any more projects you've been working on?

Thanks. The Firehawk is if I remember right 4.3 times the size of a 1/25th scale model. I am going to start working on a 69 Camaro with a C5 Corvette drivetrain. I want to build a nice street rod that I could build a real car from some day, but for now a model will have to do.

Those are works of art. I can only imagine how long you spent on those and the amount of work gone into them. Some bigger pics would be great. Hope to see more from you.

I'm going home now to bin all my kits and take up knitting, how does anyone compete with that, truly a masterclass in model making.

BTW welcome to the forum

Re: One of a kind model cars

I'm in the process of working on an engine right now. I picked up a Chevy 2.8 for $50 a few years ago, so I decided to pull it apart and scale it down and make a model of it. I hope to finish it sometime this spring. It's actually going to be a Chevy 3400 like in the newer Grand Ams, etc. It's a hell of a lot more detailed than the other engines. Everything works in it, even the valves open via cam, lifters, pushrods and rockers, and of course the whole rotating assembly works, including pistons. People think I'm insane for doing this, and they're probably right, but hey why not. I don't have too many pictures yet, but I'll put some up when it's finished. Thanks for the replies.
