WHY??? wrx wagon
I'm interested in a used 2002 wrx wagon. But why is the front track narrower than the sedan?where is it narrower. I heard there are problems with the manual tranny going bad, on the 2002. Is there any diffrence in trannies for 2003 &2004. Are there any recalls, I had a 1998 legacy gt 5 speed with 145k with no poblems.

Re: WHY??? wrx wagon
The only reason for the difference in track is the body style, as to whether it makes a difference, not significantly, after all, it's 58.5" compared to 57.7"

Re: WHY??? wrx wagon
trannya are prone to go bad because people beat on them, they buy and awd car and expect to be able to drop the clutch all the time, so the wrx got the nickname of ahving a glass tranny
