Lightbulb Shock absorber question??

Greetings,

I have a 2002 LS V8 with the factory Sport package, with 50,000. I am almost ready for new shock absorbers. Does any one know the difference between the Original Equipment Sport Package shock absorber and the European part?

Thanks,

Re: Shock absorber question??

I'm currently running the European units on my '00 sport. They are noticably stiffer than the sport shocks. They can be a little tiring on the frost-heaved rust belt roads here in the IN/OH/MI tri-state area. At 80 and above, they smooth out nicely! My lowered LS running the Euro shocks and rolling on 45 series tires feels a LOT like a C4 Corvette.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info; I would be concerned about bringing my LS any closer to the pavement than it already is. I live in New Jersey and travel into NYC quite a bit, the roads around here are…well…. challenging at best, if you know what I mean, with the car eating pot holes, etc .

Re: Thanks!

One more quick question, what color code are the European units?

Thanks,

Re: Shock absorber question??

Never noticed... I ordered from www.Fordpartsnetwork.com and had them installed at the local dealership. I never actually saw them!

Re: Shock absorber question??

So lincoln used different shocks in the european model? Does the same hold true for the LS6?

Re: Shock absorber question??

I believe so, but don't quote me.
