b18b1 swap into 96-98 civic ex vtec

i was curious what it will take to install a b18b1 ls motor into my 96-98 civic ex vtec like what mounts i'll need

what axels i'll need

any rewiring or splicing of my stock harness involved

let me know anything and everything that i'll need to do in order to make this swap work?

also what if the ls motor is obd1 then what would need to be done?

i allready have the obd2 to obd1 ecu conversion harness.....

ok you have a ob2 to obd1 harness, didnt it come with instructions ? follow those instructions.

axles, 94 and up teg axles with intermediate shaft.

i have not done this swap myself but i think you can use your stock mounts

you might need the 99-00si rear mount. not the chassis mount but the t mount or whatever they call it that bolts into the rear of hte tranny. again not sure because i havent done a swap like this before.

did the conversion harnesss come with instructions on how to rewire it ?

Re: b18b1 swap into 96-98 civic ex vtec

The easiest thing to do is to use your stock OBD2 injectors, swap voltage regulators in the alternators, and change the 1 plug from the OBD2 dist to the 2 plug of the OBD1. Here is a thread from H-T, but you'll want to do the opposite of what it says for the alternator and distributor because it's for OBD2 motor in an OBD1 car: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=550976 (6th post down).
