Exclamation I found this on 3si.org!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey

as most of u guys now its really hard to sign up on 3si and it wont let me sign up. Anyways i found this on 3si.org (http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=254540)
Right after I picked up my TT I decided to replace all the fluids in the car. The first two weeks of owning the car, the shifting was rough. It was difficult to get into 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Reverse was also sometimes difficult. Double shifting seemed almost hopeless and I started calling shops to see how much it would be to replace synchros.

I held back from buying the BG Synchroshift, figuring that I had to replace the synchros anyway. Until one day the gears grinded so badly that I dropped it off that day.

First Impressions:
I'm not really sure it made a difference. Shifting was a little smoother, but I wasn't sure if it was the warmer weather or the BG Synchroshift. It was still difficult to get into some gears and reverse was still a pain.

After a couple miles:
I can't believe this stuff actually works! The shifting is effortless and every gear is easy to get into. Even reverse is no longer a problem. A couple of days ago it was -3 degrees outside and there was absolutely no problems with the shifting.

I highly recommend this. Even if you think your synchros are completely gone, try this first. It might end up saving you from having to spend a couple hundred dollars now.

My question what exactly is BG Synchroshift??? Is it fluid, where can i get it???
Hope fully this can fix all the problems other people have like me with there gears.
If u guys dont now where to get it and dont now anything about it, if you have account with 3si.org please post a reply and ask him. I cant do it because it wont let me have a account with 3si.org

THANKSs

Its MTX oil. You can pick it up at almost every car parts store.

Anyone here ever used it before? Or heard anything about it? 'Cause I'm gonna need to replace my synchros probably but would prefer a "cheaper" solution (if there is one).

Re: I found this on 3si.org!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haven't used it, but its probably a good buy. i put Pennzoil Synchromesh MTX fluid in mine. it was much cheaper than BG ($7/qt compared to $15/qt) and i felt great difference in improved feel and smoother shifts. GM Synchromesh and Pennzoil Synchromesh are the same product of tranny fluid. But for some reason, the Pennzoil is cheaper and easier to find. check out www.midwayautosupply.com if you can't find it at a local auto store.

if you want BG, then i think 3sxperformance.com sells it. pricey tho, @ about 15/qt.

Oh, and G35Turbo, the reason why 3si.org most likely "won't let you sign up" is that you have a free e-mail account, like yahoo or hotmail or something. You sorta need an e-mail with an ISP like swbell.net or earthlink.net.

Same for me, $7 a quart at Autozone. Same results.

Re: I found this on 3si.org!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.something, so buy 3 and an oil pump. And this is only for MTX transmisions. There is a drain ahd a fill plug on your trans. Lift the car but make sure its level. Take out the drain plug and let everything drain out. Put the drain plug back in and remove the fill plug. Pump the oil into the transmision until it comes out the fill hole. When it starts to come out is when its full. Put the fill plug back in.

Yea thats the thing, they don't want you using a free email. You could try to find an obscure providor of free email that might not be banned, can't sugest one though.
