1994 GTP headlights

hey guys, I got a 2 door, 1994 Grand Prix GTP and I was wondering what the heck Pontiac was thinking when they did the headlights. In the 4 doors you can change the bulb in all of lights(low, high, park, fog) but in the 2 door version you have to replace the whole light. So, when a light goes out you gotta spend a good $25 instead of $7ish. So my questions, one...has anyone tried a 2 door to 4 door conversion on the headlights and two....what in the world was Pontiac thinking when they did this!?!

thanks a lot

Re: 1994 GTP headlights

I know exactly what you mean. It's possible, but probably not worth it. You will have to get the front light section off of an 1989 2 door(this includes the area in between the lights). A junk yard is going to charge you at least $100 for it. Of course that will buy you four new lights which will last a couple years.
