i need some help plz - tranny

i go to a mechanical school for automotive and today i took my standard tranny outa my car. it took me 3 days. i just got into this buisness my teacher dosent help he on the phone constantly and i dont no i guess im just really fustrated .i wanna quit constantly i dont no how to do things there kids in my class that been working on cars for like 2 years telling me im not gonna make it or anything. i dont no things just get really upsetting i dont wanna sound like a pussy dream job is a mechanic allways has i no kinda alot about cars but i just been getting into the field like 3 months ago . 3 days just to get the tranny out thats alot of time i wish i was fast some ppl can do it in a day i dont i have no idea what i was doing my teacher thinks im superman or some shit

As to the whole mechanic deal...don't panic.The assholes who are giving you shit in class all had to start somewhere, they just started before you.And a tranny is a pretty bold job for a new guy to tackle on his own.

Last time I had to get a tranny out of my car, it took weeks. Luckily shim got the car in the divorce settlement.

lolol tranys sound so easy to do. couple sensors some wires, cables and then the tranny months and engine bolts and its out its alot harder than ppl think it is

Hang in there, the whole point of going to tech school is to get you to a point where you can do this stuff unaided. You don't need a lot of experience to do well, that's what your tutor is there for.

me here took automotive classes when i was in highschool. but did not complain like a pussy when my teacher was busy with other things. you have to read your tranny manual over and over till you figure it out. take pictures and label all your parts when you disassemble it. this will help you when you put together your tranny.

Tell your teacher to get off his dead ass and talk you through the times when you are hung up. You are there to learn and he is there to teach. Your times will pic up. Just remember to watch, listen, and learn man.

Dude, some people get things quicker than others or can figure them out better than others. Maybe he didn't get it after reading the manuel over and over again. Thats why hes in the forum asking people.

You'll get better with time, trust me. Just stick with it, and before you know it, you'll look back and laugh at how hard the stuff was for you. I was in you shoes once, and it sucks. I remember the first car i ever took a trans out of was a 300M and it took me the whole day to get it out (and they are actually a really easy trans). but a few months later i put a clutch in my lude in a good saturday. And for example, i needed another trans/clutch just recently, and i took it to a trans shop i deal with. He's been doing tranny's for 30 years... he did the whole job in under 3 hours. It was quite impressive. But i'm sure his first job didn't go so quick

The best teacher is experience. If you had to do another tranny would it take you another three days? No, right? You've learned something about removing a tranny.
