my friend just got a 97 honda del sol VTEC like mine and he was asking about magnaflow exhaust. there are a couple running around town with them and they are all loud and ricey. is this how they all sound. im not sure which exhaust but it was the round muffler not the oval kind. thanks for the imput

It all depnds on the muffler as to how it will sound. I have a magnaflow cat back on my 02 Si and its not loud or ricey at all. It has a nice quiet low rumble to it. Now if it is just a magnaflow muffler it might sound loud depending on what kind the people have. But in general if your friend is going with the full cat-back system magnaflow tends to keep their mufflers pretty big which = quiet
