you'll have to get everything that goes with the motor (mounts, tranny, etc.)

Re: 1.8 to 2.0 conversion

if the 1.8 has a 5 speed the tranny should work with a 4g63. i think you do need mounts im not positive. I know i looked into it a while ago and its not all that outragous. but i gotta say i think you should go with a 4g63t. i know it cost more but i figure if your gonna be a bear, be a grizzly.. peace

Re: 1.8 to 2.0 conversion

all you will need is the ecu, motor mounts ,wiring harnes, stater, altanator, flywheel, clutch, that should be it. I just did the same thing but im still in need of the wiring harnes I been working on mine for about 6mth now. Ive bought 3 wiring harnes and none of them have worked. But if you go turbo I got the wiring hanes for you pluse if you need a engine the best deal I found was at www.soko.com it was $590. shipped to you . But have fun hope you have better luck then I did if mine ever startes I let you know..

Re: 1.8 to 2.0 conversion

i know the tranny will work and i know all the mounts line up. i will replace those anyways with urethane mounts. so i think that should do it... ecu, wiring harness, clutch, flywheel, starter and alternator. matth, do you know why the wiring harnesses haven't worked? also ill add you to my buddy list so if i decide to go ahead and do the turbo swap ill see if you still have the wiring harness. for those of you who want to know my plan is to do the n/t motor inside and out. eventually when i can get the money for another big mod i am thinking about boring the engine out and putting a turbo crank, pistons and rods in it, but for now im focused on getting the n/t in and runnning.

Re: 1.8 to 2.0 conversion

Its becase all dsm wiring harnes are different you have to find one that came from the same year as the motor .Like mine is a 92 jdm engine I have to find a 92 wiring harnes case the plugs are a lot different. So if you can find a engine that comes with the wiring harnes and ecu you will be find. that is one nice thing about nissan is whene you do a swap they sell you everthing you need to do it with. Keep in touch hope everthing goes good for you.
