Coolant Resevoir cap is stuck

Recently the low coolant light has come on, on my 2001 Alero. I wanted to top off the coolant but the resevoir coolant cap is stuck. I went over to a 2002 Intrigue, and the same thing. Is this a larger GM problem or am I just retarded? Any tips on getting this thing open?

Mine was stuck also. After I got a little more aggressive with it, it finally came loose. It felt like there was a suction that was holding it. My best guess is that the suction is created when the coolant and air in the bottle cools down.

I've got a sear's strap-wrench and I used it on mine and it popped that thing open no problem. The thing worked like a champ, and I've found it useful other ways too - I'd highly recommend buying one (only like 7 $)
