Can someone check out my logs?

I did a few 3rd gear pulls and here is the first pull. I ran stock boost (about 12lbs)on this one. The knock count is not high enough to pull the timing, but the timing was still being pulled a little, is that normal? The second pull was at 20lbs of boost, and the knock count was up there a bit but not too high considering I was on pump gas. The timing was being pulled a bit more, but it wasn't that much more than the first pull. I run a 16g, 255 fuel pump (check my website for the full list if needed). RPM KC T

Now is the timing being pulled too much here? Is the knock count too high even though it's pump gas? I'm sure I could probably bring the kc down some with an afc but i really don't want to go that route unless it's absolutely necessary.

Re: Can someone check out my logs?

The first pull looks perfectly normal. The second still looks "safe" enough, but that knock is a bit high. On a stock ECU with no AFC type device interfering, you should see about 16 degrees max in the upper rpms. I know its 16-17 for a 2g, I'm assuming 1g is similar. In fact I think the 1g ecu pulls timing on its own (With no knock) after 6k rpms. But 20 knock counts is a bit high, I would be trying to reduce the boost if nothing else.

It seems like you are on stock injectors, that explains everything. With a 255 and FMIC you shouldnt be knocking at 20 psi with stock AFR of ~10:1. But with stock injectors there is no way it is maintaining that AFR at high rpm at that airflow level. I know you said you have been running this way for some time, which goes back to my "safe enough" comment, but I think injectors and an AFC would really take your setup to the next level. In fact it seems like you have enough to max out that turbo, if the stock MAS can keep up.

Nice looking car by the way.

Re: Can someone check out my logs?

Hey thanks for the help. I guess the next thing for me is to try a pull on race gas and see where Im at since that's usually the only way I push that much boost.
