Difference between the GS and RS (stock and modifications)?

Looking to buy a 1996-1999 eclipse, so was just wondering what was the diffrence between a stock GS and stock RS eclipse. And also if there are differnet modifications that can be done to the 2 what are they. Thanks this should hopefully help me to make a better choice.

GS has more options than the RS. Botht essentially the same car.
Remember, more options=more weight

yes! score one for me, i'm lighter, haha.

anyways, i know the GS has power everything. windows, locks, sunroof, etc.
4 wheel disc breaks, rear windshield wiper, fog lights. theres probaly some other things.

RS's don't have any of that.

but to be truthful, for the extra couple of thousand bucks a GS would go for versus a RS, i'd keep the RS, i wouldnt mine having the options though, but i'll be happy cuz my car is lighter, lol. even if it is like 50 or so lbs.

leather came as an option on a GS. I dont think you could get it on an RS but I might be wrong. Also, some RS's came with hubcaps i think. I know some 2g talon esi's came with them, but not sure about the eclipses

no dsm ever came stock with hub caps.

leather was an option for an rs or gs. the gs has power windows, locks, and seats i think. everything else in the car would be an option (leather seats, sliding sunroof/moonroof, etc.)

CORRECTION:
the electric seats were an option in the gs, not standard.

no dude, before i found my GS-T, I test drove a '95 esi and it definitley had hubcaps, and I know a chick with an esi, i dont know what year, but it has hupcaps too. I'll try to find some pics.

some of the talons had hubcaps...but i don't think any eclipse came with hubcaps.

www.imageshack.us ...upload it and then post it in your reply, you have to click "go advanced" at the bottom of the page and then underneath the "font" drop down box there is a mountain lookin thing, click on that and then past the imageshack picture filename into there.

ok, there's a picture off cardomain to prove my point that some talons came with caps, thanks to everyone who put up with my noobness.
