Gauge Cluster Light

I was wondering if there is any way to remove the light(s) which light up the gauge cluster area... Talking about the lights that end up lighting the area up, I just wanna see the speedometer and tach and so on, dont want that light. Any Ideas? Even just how to take off that clear part so i can tape it up or sumthing? thx ahead of time...

Got to remove the whole instrument cluster. The lights are mounted to the board at the back side. There are threads on this site that tell you how.
