Boost and AF Gauge question

Ok, for the boost gauge, where would i connect the orange wire(12v lighting? Second, can I find a detailed installation of installing a AF Gauge, unless someone wants to post it here...95 Eclispse GST is what i have. The AF gauge has the red, black and gray wire and im not sure what goes where the gray wire goes. Im assuming the black and red correspond with the boost gauge ones. Thanks guys

Re: Boost and AF Gauge question

Anywhere with 12v power will work. A spare fuse slot, the cig lighter, the battery itself technically would work. That said, don't do it to the battery. On your AF gauge, you are going to have power, ground, and signal. It's an ECU wire that you tap, but since A/F gauges are useless and a waste of money, I don't know offhand what wire it is.

If you want to dim the gauges with your instrument cluster, you can use the dimmer switch so I've heard.

Re: Boost and AF Gauge question

vfaq.com has a detailed install for the A/F guage and what wires to tap into.... but otherwise it isn't really worth it...I know from experience.......

Re: Boost and AF Gauge question

I have the same sh!t as you... it will work...
if you look close enough your nose will touch the screen.

all you have to do is find the right pin number on the harness to jump off of for power and signal wire.

Re: Boost and AF Gauge question

Im only worried about the o2 sensor, i can do power and ground myself because im putting a switch and led to it, i think i might have found something tho...when you installed it did it involve taking off the drivers side access console to the ecu?

Re: Boost and AF Gauge question

Yes, thats where the ECU is, so thats where the wire is. This isnt rocket science poeple. There is also a ECU pinout posted on vfaq.com that will tell you what wire on what connector is the signal line for the front O2 sensor. Use the ECUs sensor ground, see the other thread I just replid to for the reason.

Re: Boost and AF Gauge question

Let me do it for you.

http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ecu-harness-2G.html

Pin 76 for 2G turbo is what you want.

It doesnt really show where the ground wire is, so lets think about this. The AFC has an oddball grounding setup, lets check the instructions there.

Ah yes,

and

Another alternative is given here:
