Brakes pull hard to one side.

I have a 91 Supra and my brakes pull real hard to the right when braking. The repair shop has changed the rotors, calipers(twice),
the distribution valve and the brake hoses. Nothing helps, still pulls
extremely hard to the right. They think the brake fluid is not being
evenly distributed to the left and right sides. They think it could be
an obstruction of some type in the ABS cylinder. They are going to
look at that next. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I would
aprreciate any help, I'm at a lost, we have changed almost everything.
The car is almost too dangerous to drive, that's how bad it pulls to
the right when braking. Thanks for any help.

Re: Brakes pull hard to one side.

Do a hard brake in gravel or dirt to see which wheel is doing all the work...it my be a rear one.

Hard pull to one side usually means the OTHER one is not working.

You can also isollate by clamping off brake hoses...ie..both rear or front.

Scanner,
You are correct, the left front is NOT working correctly, therefore the
right side is doing all the work and creates the hard pull to the right.
He said the rear brakes seem to work as they should. The mechanic says the left side is not getting the correct brake fluid pressure. What is causing this, he doesn't know. Looks as though the ABS module controls the flow of brake fluid to each wheel. He thinks there may be rust or some metallic flakes in the ABS cylinder that is causing a blockage to the left side. He wants to clean out the ABS cylinder and the resevoirs and see if the obstruction will disappear. At this point, anything is worth a shot. Thanks for your reply Scanner.

Re: Brakes pull hard to one side.

prolly have to take the control valve out for that wheel to remove the obstruction, or replace the valve. (if you can buy just the valve, used may be an option)
