brake lights / parking lights
On my 1995 J30, whenever I step on the brakes, my brake lights and all parking lights come on. Also, I get an indication on my instrument panel as if one of my lights are out (red light), however all are working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your brake light bulbs.Someone has put the wrong number bulb in place of the brake light bulb.Bulb should be #1157.You probably will find a #1156 bulb in it's place.#1157 bulb is dual filament/two contact bulb. {one for brake light, one for tail lights} 1156 is one filament/one contact bulb.When you put a #1156 bulb into a socket for 1157, the bulb will join the two circuits together.Quick test would be:turn your parklights on.Do your brake lights come on also?This will confirm above.
