Unhappy 93 Grand Am key is stuck in the ignition...HELP!!

I have a 93 Grand Am and tonight after I had been driving it for a while, when I parked and tried to take the keys out they were stuck. The keys won't even turn all the way back to the starting position but are just turning maybe 2 times back instead of all the way. Anyone have any tips on what this could be?? Thanks a bunch!

Re: 93 Grand Am key is stuck in the ignition...HELP!!

Welcome to AF Megan and sorry I don't have a link directly for Grand Am's but most of these steps are similiar to Firebirds. This type thing happens on lots of GM's try to follow these steps in this link if they apply to your vehicle. You may also try move the steering wheel while trying to remove the key as well as pushing the gear shifter forward while trying to remove it.

Good Luck,

Smile Thanks

Hey, thanks for the reply. I decided to just drop it off at a shop and see what they think is wrong with it and how much they think it'll cost to fix it. Thanks though!
