Unhappy 97 Type SH problems

i was driving to work today when my check engine light and my ATTS light came on. what does this mean? please help

it means you have to get the CEL code read to find out what it means. no one here can tell you what's wrong with the car, if anything, by your description.

you can go to autozone and they should do it for free so you don't have to go to the dealer. get it read and come back with whatever they tell you what code was thrown.

how's the car driving otherwise? and fyi, on SH's, whenever the check engine light goes on, the ATTS light will go on too. so don't assume something's wrong with the ATTS.

thanks. i didnt know the atts would come on w/the light. cant you use a paperclip in the plug to get the check engine light to blink out a code?
